On December 15, the department “International finance and credit” held a seminar on the topic “Currency exchange and its operations”. Specialist of the Currency Exchange of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Philosophy in Economics Ibragimov Y.T. was invited to the event.

During the event, the speaker told the teachers, researchers and students of the institute about the Currency Exchange of Uzbekistan, the main entities operating in it and their categories, operations carried out on the exchange, about the differences between the new system and the old one, which was introduced into practice on February 15, 2021, as well as the advantages new system, expansion of the money market and government securities market in recent years.

Also, within the framework of the Strategy for the Development of the Currency Exchange of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2019-2023, the positive and negative impact of futures and option derivatives on the country's economy and exchange activities, the implementation of which is planned for 2022, was emphasized, as well as the role of brokerage organizations in meeting the needs of individuals on the government securities market.

At the end of the event, the participants received detailed answers to their questions, and the training seminar helped to improve the qualifications of teachers and students.
