“CORRUPTION IS THE WRECKER TO DEVELOPMENT”
A meeting on the topic “Corruption is the wrecker to development” (via zoom-software application) was organized at the Tashkent Institute of Finance in cooperation with Academy of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Office for Combating Economic and Corruption Crimes in order to ensure the implementation of the tasks set by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On additional measures to improve the system of combating corruption in the Republic of Uzbekistan".
The event was attended by the acting rector of Tashkent Institute of Finance Sultanali Umaralievich Mehmonov, Head of the Anti-Corruption Research and Education Center of the Academy of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bahodir Islamovich Ismailov and Head of the Economic Crimes and Corruption Department of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jahongir Khursanboevich Ibragimov They noted that the higher education system, like other sectors, is experiencing a new stage of development and important reforms are underway, in particular, the material and technical base of higher education institutions is being strengthened and new generations of textbooks are being created to improve the quality of education.
The event focused on improving the system of professional development, increasing scientific capacity, systematic organization of spiritual and educational work with young people, as well as some problems in the higher education system, one of which is corruption, which hinders the development of the state and society. It was said that it had a negative impact on the education system.
In order to systematically combat this scourge in our society, the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan PF-5729 dated May 27, 2019 "On measures to further improve the anti-corruption system in the Republic of Uzbekistan" was adopted as an experiment from August 1, 2019. and the organization of the implementation of the project "Sector without corruption" in the field of capital construction and higher education with the involvement of leading experts, including foreign experts, and the gradual introduction of the project in other areas from April 1, 2020.
In response to the decision to increase the salaries of employees of the higher education system by 3 times over the past year, the gradual provision of housing for researchers, the people have an opportunity to serve our people with loyalty, dedication, initiative and honesty. The members of the team of the Tashkent Institute of Finance, who took part in the meeting, made a special mention.
Vice-rectors of Tashkent Institute of Finance, deans of faculties, heads of divisions, heads of departments, teachers and coaches of the academic group, who took part in the round table, promised: “We all organize educational, methodological, scientific and spiritual-educational work at the institute at the level of modern requirements. We will do our best to reveal and demonstrate their innovative ideas, developments, startups and other great talents in other fields. ”
We are working with all partner organizations, the public and law enforcement agencies to turn the Tashkent Institute of Finance into a real center of science and enlightenment. At the end of the roundtable, all participants agreed to be effective in the fight against abominations such as greed, bribery or corruption, and to set an example in other areas, because intellectuals are the main driving force of society, Tashkent institute of Finance, which nurtures such intellectuals promised that the institute would become a real place of enlightenment free from various vices.
