On June 27, 2022  an international scientific-practical conference was held on "Prospects for the development of insurance in the implementation of the development strategy of new Uzbekistan" in the conference hall of the Hilton Tashkent City Hotel in Tashkent. 

This international conference was organized within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Tashkent Institute of Finance and Uzbekinvest Export-Import Insurance Company.
 

The conference focused on the implementation of the tasks set by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 28, 2022 PD-60 "On the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026", in particular, the transformation of sectors and rapid development of entrepreneurship, further improving the investment climate and its attractiveness. It was noted that it is important to increase the role of insurance, which is an important component of the financial sector, to increase the export potential of the country through the active continuation of the system of support for exporting enterprises, to provide quality insurance services to legal entities and individuals.
 

The purpose of the conference is to develop scientific proposals and practical recommendations for the development of insurance in the implementation of the New Uzbekistan Development Strategy. To achieve this goal, the conference identified tasks such as exchange of views, development of proposals and recommendations on the basis of lively discussions on consistent development of the real sector of the economy, strengthening the attraction of foreign and domestic investments, creative application of international experience in the protection of small business and private entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan, improving the quality and scope of insurance services to citizens, "insurance culture" to increase the number of insurance companies, improve the prudential norms of insurance market regulation and ensure the digitalization of insurance activities and information security.

Director of the Insurance Market Development Agency under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan K.F. Talipov, Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education S.M. Buzrukhonov made a congratulatory speech at the plenary session of the conference. Also, a number of speeches were conducted by the rector of Tashkent Institute of Finance T.Z. Talipov on "Development of the insurance market of Uzbekistan", Secretary General of the Turkish Association of Insurance, Reinsurance and Pension Companies, Ozgur Obali  on "Opportunities for public-private partnership in the field of insurance - best practices", Director General of Uzbekinvest Export-Import Insurance Company, R.S.Azimov on "Problems and prospects of development of the insurance market of Uzbekistan", Deputy General Director of "SK Sberbank" LLC - Director of Risks, Chairman of the Board of the Russian Actuaries Guild N.V.Novikov  on “Management-oriented risk and risk-oriented regulation of insurance companies”, Rector of Tashkent State University of Economics, K.A. Sharipov  on "The role of Tashkent State University of Economics in training in the field of insurance", Professor of the Krakow University of Economics (Poland) Grzegorz Strupezewski on  "Cyber ​​insurance as an instrument of risk management", Director of the Institute of Management, Economics and Finance of Kazan Federal University N.G.Bagautdinova on "The impact of the pandemic on the Russian insurance services market", Chairman of the Board of the Association of Professional Participants of the Insurance Market of Uzbekistan O.N.Khalilov  on "Global threats and the insurance market of Uzbekistan", Head of the Department of Finance of the Belarusian State University of Economics T.A.Verezubova on "The insurance market of the Republic of Belarus and the prospects for its development in the context of modern threats".

The conference continued in the afternoon, divided into four sections. The Government of the Republic has radically reformed the insurance market, transformed large state-owned insurance companies, ensured openness and transparency of insurance companies, introduced international standards of state regulation and supervision of professional insurance market participants, and most importantly, ensured the interests of consumers. It was noted that a number of positive steps are being taken to ensure the protection of the people.

At the same time, foreign scholars and experts who spoke at the international conference noted that the integration of the Uzbek economy into the world economy, the growing global risks, the international insurance community, experts and analysts of the industry have a number of important tasks.

Аbout 200 specialists, experts and analysts attended  at the conference. In particular, the participants of the conference were impressed by the speeches of scientists and experts from Poland, Turkey, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.

Representatives of Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ministry of Finance and Insurance Market Development Agency, Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, Association of Professional Insurance Market Participants of Uzbekistan, Uzagrosugurta, Kafolat and Gross Insurance also participated at the conference. Managers and employees of more than 40 insurance companies participated.

Professors, researchers and students of the Tashkent Institute of Finance, Westminster International University in Tashkent, Tashkent State University of Economics, Banking and Finance Academy also took part in the conference.













It is planned to acquaint foreign guests with the architectural monuments of Samarkand and Bukhara within the framework of the conference.
