Literary-educational conference dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the Uzbek poet, translator, playwright Usmon Nasir
On March 14, 2022, a literary-educational conference was organized dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the poet Usmon Nasir by Uzbek and Russian languages Department of the Tashkent Institute of Finance. Zuhriddin Isomiddinov - a member of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan, Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Rahmatulla Barakaev - a leading researcher of the Institute of Language, Literature and Folklore, a scholar of literature, professors and students of the Uzbek and Russian languages participated at the event. Nasir's poetry, first of all, with its vitality, charm and rebellion, as well as its simplicity and fluency, is deeply rooted in the heart of the reader, and his service in the field of translation is invaluable. With his translations, Pushkin's "Garden Fountain" and Lermontov's "Demon" ("Devil") epics touched the hearts of Uzbek readers.
The works of Osman Nasir, a man of great talent, have always thrilled people. As one of the victims of the repression, Usman Nasir spent his youth suffering in Soviet camps and died in captivity in 1944. Students received answers to their questions at the literary-educational conference.
