Living in Tashkent

           Tashkent is a capital of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the most populated city in Central Asia, a political, economic, cultural and scientific center of the country. According to official data, the population of Tashkent is about 2, 3 million people. This modern city is located in the north-eastern part of the country, in the foothills of the western Tyan Shan, valley of Chirchik, at the height of 440-480 meters above sea level. The history of modern Tashkent counts more than 2500 years.


      Cultural life in Tashkent is full of interesting events. There are many theaters, a conservatory, museum, exhibition and concert halls, stadiums and swimming pools, cafes, restaurants and nightclubs in the capital. Tashkent is known as a solar capital, and this epithet is originated not only in relation to climatic conditions, but also because the city is famous for its hospitality, guests are granted a warm welcome in Uzbekistan

How to apply

         Once you’ve chosen Tashkent Institute of Finance as your Study Abroad destination you can apply online. If you’re an Erasmus Plus or International Exchange Student, your home university will nominate you first before you can complete the application form.

When applying, you will need to upload the following supporting documentation:

  • A copy of an official transcript showing the courses taken and grades;
  • A copy of your passport/ID photo page;

· Evidence of English Language (if applicable).


What happens next?

        Once you have been made an offer of a place you will receive an offer letter.  All of the information that you require prior to your arrival at the Institute will be sent to you electronically or it will be available online.  You can also visit the Welcome pages on the Institute's website which contain useful information for students starting at TIF.

        All students who have had an offer will be sent full details of the orientation events by email. It is important that you check your emails regularly, as some of our events will be tailored individually for you.
