In particular, important decrees and decisions have been made in this direction in the past. Every year since 2001, August 31 has been widely celebrated in our country as the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Repression. The memorial complex "Martyrs' Memory" was built. Its branches have been established at the Martyrs' Memory Public Foundation, the State Museum of Repression Victims, and regional higher education institutions. Magnificent statues and museums dedicated to the memory of such great enlightened ancestors as Mahmudkhoja Behbudi, Abdulla Avloni, Ishakhon Ibrat, Abdurauf Fitrat, Abdulhamid Cholpon, Abdulla Qodiri were erected, creative schools were established. Research, artistic and documentary works are being created to identify the names of our compatriots who were unjustly killed during the years of political repression, to study their legacy and to make it available to the general public.
