According to the  order of the Rector of the Institute dated on December 26, 2001 year, the Department of “Accounting and auditing” was established from January 1, 2002 year.

On February 26, 2005 year the name of the department was changed to “Audit” by the №8-decision of the Board of the Tashkent Institute of Finance.

According to the organizational structure of the Tashkent Financial Institute approved by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education on August 2, 2019, the "Audit" and "Financial analysis" departments were merged and renamed "Audit and Economic Analysis" in the 2019-2020 academic year. The "Audit" department was reorganized by the decision No. 8 of the Scientific Council of the Tashkent Institute of Finance dated August 26, 2020.
