Representatives of the institute participated in the international event “Malaysia and Uzbekistan: prospects for international cooperation in the field of higher education”

On September 14, meeting was held with a number of influential delegations from Malaysian universities with the aim of further expanding cooperation between universities in Malaysia and Uzbekistan. The Institute’s Vice-Rector for International Cooperation A. Islamkulov and the staff of the International Cooperation Department attended to the meeting. First, participants were presented with presentations from Malaysian universities, and then “B2B” meetings took place between universities of the two countries to discuss cooperation.

 

 

During the meeting, representatives of the institute discussed a joint master’s program of Islamic finance between two higher educational institutions of the Tashkent Institute of Finance with official representatives of the Universiti Utara Malaysia, and also discussed the possibility of creating academic mobility programs for students and teachers of two higher educational institutions. Currently, the University of Utara Malaysia ranks 401-500 in the prestigious international ranking (Times Higher Education).

 

The next meeting of representatives of the institute took place with representatives of the Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation and the University of Kuala Lumpur. Representatives of these universities provided full information about the participation of the Tashkent Institute of Finance in the “Summer School”, “Winter School” and various short-term student exchange programs and expressed their readiness for further cooperation. Asia-Pacific University of Technology and Innovation Malaysia ranks 621-630 in the prestigious international ranking (QS).

 

 

An agreement was also reached to develop a “Road Map” between the two higher education institutions in accordance with the existing memorandum of understanding with representatives of the institute’s current foreign partner university -  UCSI University. For information, UCSI University Malaysia is ranked 300th in the prestigious international rankings (QS).

 

 

Following the meetings, representatives from the Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia and institute officials discussed the possibility of a joint undergraduate course, and it was decided to hold a meeting on this issue via Zoom in the future. For information, the University of Islamic Sciences Malaysia is ranked 1201-1400 in the prestigious international ranking (QS).
