Today, a conference took place in the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation building with a delegation of a number of recognized British HEIs in order to further enhance cooperation between HEIs in the UK and Uzbekistan. A. Islamkulov, vice-rector of the Institute of Scientific Affairs and Innovation, and members of the International Cooperation Department attended this meeting. Participants were initially focused on the presentations of UK HEIs, and later mutual acquaintance ("B2B") meetings (forums) with HEIs from both countries will be organized.

Members of the institute met with representatives from the UK's most prestigious HEIs, including Swansea University, the University of South Wales, the University of Wolverhampton, and Birmingham City University, during the familiarization sessions. The establishment of beneficial cooperation in scientific research and other related areas, as well as the formation of cooperative educational programs and their possibilities, were discussed as well.
