Chair of “Banking” Department of the Tashkent Institute of Finance (TIF), Doctor of Economics, Professor Omonov Akrom, on the order of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the need to exchange experience and study at prestigious universities from November 27 to December 28, 2019 underwent further training and skills in the field of “Islamic banking” at Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN)).

       Since the academic year 2019/2020, lectures and practical classes on the subject of “Islamic banking” have been held for students of the (TIF) during the one semester. Professor A.Omonov visited Malaysia in order to study practical experience and improve cooperation with leading research centers and universities of “Islamic banking” in Malaysia.

       A.Omonov, on the basis of a mutually approved schedule, participated in classes in the disciplines “Islamic banking and finance”, “Principles of Finance”, “Business economics”, “Financial and managerial accounting” at UNITEN College of Business and Accounting in Muadzam Shokh and received certificates . And also acquired practical skills in “Islamic banking”.

     At the same time, prof. A.Omonov gave lectures to college students on the topics: “Social life and economy of Uzbekistan”, “Features of the introduction of monetary policy of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan”, “Development of Islamic banking and finance in Uzbekistan”, along with this, increased his knowledge and experience in this field, being in close contact with leading professors in the theoretical and practical part on this issue.

       During a trip to Malaysia, A.Omonov increased the possibilities of mutual cooperation and agreements in the process of meetings with the rector (Vice Chancellor) UNITEN Dato, Prof., Dr. Kamol Nasharuddin, Vice-Rector (Deputy Vice Chancellor) Dato, Prof. Dr. Salina Daud, Head of the Department of International Relations and Mobilization of Associates, Prof. Dr. Zuraydah Bt Ali.

      In addition, during a business trip to Malaysia, A.Omonov held round tables with deans and professors of prestigious large research centers and universities located in Kuala Lumpur in the field of Islamic banking and finance, such as ISRA-International Shari'ah Research Academy for Islamic Finance, International Islamic University and University Technology MARA, and was able to come to agreements on mutual cooperation in various fields of education.
