Holders of the Presidential Scholarship or the named State Scholarship are admitted to the master's program of the state university without entrance exams
The Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On further support of talented young people studying in higher educational institutions of the Republic, engaged in research activities" was adopted. According to the decree, from the 2021/2022 academic year: The quota of the President's state scholarship was doubled: - for doctoral students and master's students studying in the basic doctoral program, reaching 10 and 22, respectively; - for undergraduate students - one for each university;
In order to encourage talented students studying at universities in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, state scholarships named after Hero of Uzbekistan, People's Writer of Uzbekistan and Karakalpakstan Tolepbergen Kaipbergenov and Hero of Uzbekistan, People's Poet of Uzbekistan and Karakalpakstan Ibrayim Yusupov were introduced.
Presidential Scholarships and State Scholarships are also available for undergraduate students studying on the basis of joint educational programs of state universities, branches of foreign higher education institutions and non-governmental higher education institutions in the country. Accordingly, students who have graduated from these institutions and are holders of a Presidential Scholarship or a named state scholarship will also be admitted to a state university master's program on the basis of an additional state grant without entrance examinations in a bachelor's degree program or related specialty.
