In connection with the proclamation by the General Assembly of the United Nations “November 25 – International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women”, actions “We are against Violence” are being held in our country. As part of these actions, the Women's Council of the Institute organized a training seminar on the theme “We are Supporters of Protecting Women from Oppression and Violence!” at the Tashkent Institute of Finance.

     Doctors of Legal Science, professors of the Department of “Criminal Law, Criminology, and Anti-Corruption” of the Tashkent State University of Law,  Niyozova Salomat Saparovna and Tulaganova Gulchekhra Zakhitovna took part in the training seminar with their informative speeches, as well as the chairman of the Women's Council of the University Khaidarova Umida Pulatovna whose speeches served to increase students' legal literacy in the fight against oppression and violence against women and gender equality issues.

    The training seminar was organized at the initiative of the Women's Council of the Institute in close cooperation with the leadership of the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty Women's Council, tutors with the active participation of 1-2-year students of the Faculty, which will undoubtedly serve to increase legal literacy in protecting women from all forms and types of oppression and violence and gender equality.
