TASHKENT INSTITUTE OF FINANCE

 Tashkent Institute of Finance was established in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 13, 1991 No. DP-207 on the basis of the faculties Finance- Credit and Accounting-Economy of Tashkent Institute of National Economy. Acting member of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Murad Sharifkhodjayevich Sharifkhodjaev was appointed to the post of the rector of the Institute.

 In connection with the fact that in 2005 Murad Sharifkhodjaevich Sharifkhodjaev began to exercise a member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the duties of the rector were assigned to former Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Alisher Vasiqovich Vakhabov.

 In 2012, Professor Alisher Vakhabov was appointed Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In January 2013, talented scientist-practitioner, candidate of economic sciences, docent Azizov Ulugbek Uktamovich was appointed rector of the Institute.

 In 2016 in connection with the transfer of Ulugbek Uktamovich Azizov to the responsible work in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the post of the rector of the Institute was appointed former Deputy Chairman of State Statistics Committee, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Begalov Bahadir Abdusalamovich.

 In 2017 in connection with the transfer of Begalov Bahadir Abdusalamovich to the post of Chairman of State Statistics Committee, the post of rector of Tashkent Institute of Finance was appointed Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Khaydarov Nizomiddin Khamraevich, who previously successfully carried out his activities at all levels of high educational management system.

     

 Since September 1991, three faculties - Financial-Economy, Credit-Economy and Accounting-Economy, 2 correspondence faculties Financial-Economy, Credit-Economy and 20 departments have begun their activity in the Tashkent Institute of Finance. Since 1993, training began in the fields “Taxes and Taxation”, “Insurance”, “Securities and Exchange Business”. Starting from 1998-1999 academic year in the Tashkent Institute of Finance for the training of personnel in the direction of “Funding Projects” was opened the department “Financing investment projects”.

 

 Since 1999, began to admission to study on pedagogical education in the direction of “Accounting and Audit”. In 2004, Faculty of Financial Management was established on the basis of the Accounting-Economy and Credit-Economy Faculties. The given faculty began to prepare bachelors on directions of training “Professional education”, “Statistics” and “Management”.

 

 On the basis of the order of the rector of the Institute No. 137 of August 27, 2005, the Faculty of Taxes and Insurance was established on the basis of the directions “Taxes and Taxation” and “Insurance” of the Finance and Economics Department. Starting from the 2011-2012 school year, it was renamed the Faculty of Insurance.

 

 On the basis of the order of the Rector of the Institute of October 19, 2007 №153 on the basis of the department “Finance” was formed the department “Treasury”. In 2007, on the basis of the department “Banking” was established the department “Bank Accounting and Audit”. In 2005, Department of Macro and Microeconomics was renamed as Department of Business and Entrepreneurship. On November 5, 2007, Faculty of Investment Financing was established on the basis of the directions “Financial Engineering”, “Market Activity and Operations in the Market” and “Financing of Investments”.

 

 In connection with the opening in 2007 of two new directions - Financial Engineering and Market Activity and Market Operations - the Financial Engineering and Markets Department was established, and in 2010 it was renamed the Financial Markets and Securities Department.

 

 On May 30, 2009, the Department of Economic Theory and Economic Pedagogy was divided into Department of Economic Theory and Department of Pedagogy and Psychology.  

 

 On the basis of the order of the Rector of the Institute No. 44 of February 10, 2010, the department “Budget Accounting” was established on the basis of the “Accounting” department. In 2009, in accordance with the requirement of the time, the General Economics Department was renamed the Faculty of Budget Accounting and Treasury. Since September 2009, the faculty is called the Faculty of Budget Accounting and State Funds. Since June 2017, Department of Philosophy, Theory and Practice of Building a Democratic Society in Uzbekistan and Department of History of Uzbekistan have been merged into one single department under the general name of the Department of Social Sciences.

 

 Taking into account the practice of the leading universities of the world, the Master's program was created in 1999.

 

 At present, many well-deserved scientists of the republic work at the institute. Among them, three have the title “Honored Scientist of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, two – “Honored Worker of Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, two – “Honored Economist of the Republic of Uzbekistan” and one – “Honored Inventor and Rationalizer of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.

 

 In 1999, department organized the “Information and technical support” department. Its main activity is aimed at servicing existing technical equipment, integrating them into a single corporate network and developing a computer network at the institute.

 

 In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the organization of information and library provision of the population of the Republic of Uzbekistan” No. UP-381 dated June 20, 2006, the Information and Resource Center of the Tashkent Institute of Finance introduced modern information technologies. Today, the RPI fund has a total of more than 650,000 copies of educational and scientific literature and other types of books.

 

 To implement the model of training specialists, meet their modern requirements and world standards, there are 453 professor-teachers at 24 departments and 6 faculties of the Institute, 40 of them are doctors of science and professors, 132 candidates of science and associate professors.

 

 In accordance with Order No. 277 of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated December 18, 1995, the Tashkent Institute of Finance was given the status of a basic higher educational institution, to which six higher educational institutions are affiliated (AndiMi, KKSU, KarSU, NAMIEC, TermSU, FerPI).

 

 In the framework of international cooperation, Institute established mutual relations with the University of Abertswift (UK), Vauxung International University of Solbridge (South Korea), Indian Financial Institute (India), Hankuk University of Foreign Languages (South Korea), Yodju Institute of Technology (South Korea), Xinjiang University (China), Cambridge Territorial School (Great Britain), Sunderland University (Great Britain), Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, University of Bainery (Malaysia), University of Latvia (Latvia), University of Mykolas Romeris (Lithuania).

 

 Since 2006, the institute is included in the 1000 list of the best educational institutions in the world. And in 2008 Tashkent Institute of Finance was awarded the European Quality Committee with the “European Quality” mark.

 

 In accordance with license No. 058 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated March 16, 2005, publishing house “IQTISOOD-MOLIYA” carries out its activity in the Institute. In 2008, scientific and economic journal of the Institute “Moliya” was established and, according to the decision of the Presidium of the Higher Certification Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan, it was included in the list of scientific journals whose publications are recognized by the HAC. Since the beginning of the formation, journal “Moliya” has been published four times a year, and since 2011 it has been published six times a year. 

 

 In accordance with the statute and structure of the institute in 1991, the trade union committee of the institute was organized. The main goal of the trade union is to protect the labor, social, economic, spiritual, intellectual rights and interests of trade union members. At present, the total number of members of the trade union of the Institute is 5244 people, of which 453 are professors, 405 employees and 4,386 students. Since 1991, as the leaders of this organization S.A. Ablyatifov, M.Erkaboev, I.A. Navruzov and the current chairman - Professor Z.Yu. Yuldashev, who has been working since 2007, have done some work to ensure the rights and interests of trade union members.
